I was kind of skeptical when Janet told me that they were going to have their wedding at their farm. In a pasture. In October. Either this was going to turn out really awesome, or really cold (actually, it snowed a week after their wedding!). I jumped at the change to be their photographer and I’m so glad I could spend the evening with them! (Also, the promise of Janet’s amazing cake sealed the deal - check out Perks in Henderson!)
The ceremony was held in the afternoon among close friends and family - it was really sweet and fun to see their kids standing up with them. After portraits, I actually had to leave to shoot a family session, but the timing worked out perfect - they were able to set up the tents for the reception and Janet put the finishing touches on her cake!
The reception was filled with great food, fire pits and s’mores, dancing, country music, and of course, that cake. It turned out beautiful and I only stepped in horse poop once :)
