I was super excited for Meghan + Jon's session; Jon is a lineman, so we had plans to take some cool photos involving a power pole and his equipment. But...shortly after we arrived, their keys got locked in their truck, which meant no change of clothes and no lineman equipment. However, this couple rolled with it and managed to rock their session! I can't wait for their wedding in August!
As Kayla and Chris' session neared, we were a little worried that we would get rained or hailed out. Luckily, we didn't, and we ended up with lots of sunshine! However...about part way through the session we noticed a storm spotter sitting at a nearby intersection. We looked up, and sure enough, there was some cloud rotation! That's one way to strengthen that photographer/client bond ;)
These two were super fun and sweet and I really enjoyed getting to know more about them and their story! Chris is a farmer and I'm pretty sure Kayla mentioned something about goats being involved in their engagement story?? I wish I could remember more, but once that storm cloud with rotation hit, I pretty much lost everything else in my brain. Ha! And no, we didn't even get rain out of the storm so we were perfectly fine!
These two were just the cutest! I love couples who make my job easy and Kayla and Blake made it super easy...
One of my favorite things to have a couple do is tell their engagement story together, while I am taking photos. It's so great to hear the parts that each one of them remember the most...inevitably, someone gets a detail wrong and there is lots of laughter while he (let's face it, it's usually the guy) is corrected.
I thought it was so sweet how these two looked at each other. I can't wait for their wedding!
Let me start off by saying that I have no memory of visiting the State Capitol building in elementary school. I'm sure we did and I'm sure I was more interested in my friends than I was the building. As a photographer now, I was amazed by it. So many fun nooks and crannies!
Audrey and Huzaifa wanted their engagement photos done in the Capitol and I was super excited to shoot there. The light was pretty great and I loved all the big windows. The couple was up for anything which included jumping up on ledges and posing while other visitors looked on.
It was great getting to know them better and I can't wait for their wedding next spring!
We took Daniela and Ivan's engagement photos at one of my favorite locations...the grounds are beautiful and I especially love that dead tree! I also love when I meet my couple for the first time and we realize that we know some of the same people and have a few connections.
I loved getting know both Daniela and Ivan and I can't wait for their wedding day! I'm so excited to learn more about their family traditions and see this crazy "snake dance"!
